Setting up ‘Find my ipad from my iphone’
Find My iPhone must be activated before it can be used to track a lost iPhone, so activate it as soon as possible:
- Open iPhone Settings, iCloud, Find My iPhone and make sure the feature is switched on.
If you want to locate your lost device, you need to ensure that location services are enabled on your device. You need to enable location services in Settings, Privacy, Location Services.
When asked to sign in, enter your Apple ID. Ensure that ‘Send last location’ is enabled so that the iPhone records its last location before the battery runs out. Finally, download the free Find My iPhone application from the App Store.

If you have another Apple device, such as an iPad, launch the ‘Find My iPhone’ application and enter your Apple ID to see a map showing all your devices.
